An extra little treat...Baby flutterbies all grown up.

I haven't been playing the sims much as you know but I've been playing  the Flutterberry family even less. I had forgotten about the following pics until I came across them so without further ado here is a mini-update:

I think I may need to find him a new career....

Meanwhile, back at home, Flutterby is exhausted from taking care of twin toddlers.

Teaching them to talk....

How to put pegs in the right holes...that sort of thing.

But how quickly children grow and before long Ryleigh and Elizabeth Berry are celebrating their birthdays!

Well if Ryleigh ever decides to age up...

But look now, its Elizabeth all grown up!

Sadly with no fashion sense.

Well it looks like Ryleigh has some at least. I think she needs to help her sister.

That's much better!


Anyway...told you it was only a little bit. I'll have to play them here again once I play the Tea family a bit more. I kind of like them but at the same time I don't really want to age them up quite yet. ^_^

Flutter Berry, Darkate and Ambitions Part 3

As the truck pulled into Cranberry Firestation I initially felt as though three stories were looming over me. I had to tell myself "Darkate, pull it together man, you can do this your 'brave'".

I must admit I felt a little more relieved when I saw the inside and met with my coworkers.

I had 3 other fellow firefighters working beside me at our small little firestation.
Vicky was a bit of a loner and I still haven't quite figured her out but Charmmaine is a different story. She's hilarious and everytime the alarm rings she points and yells "Thundercats GO!" LOL

Matt on the other hand is a little more quite but when he does start to emerge from that little shell of his he is pretty funny too.

Whenever he slides down the pole he shouts "Who's got some dollar bills? I'm not working this pole for free ladies!" The gangs a hoot that's for sure and they sure make a stressful job more manageable.

In my first day we had two small house fires to contend with. When the alarm bell rang for the first time, it startled me so that I was fumbling so badly that I put on one of the girls hats and had to run back in to grab mine and ran out the wrong exit and had to chase the truck to avoid being left behind. No one gave me too much flack because they had all been rookies at one time.

I did manage to keep my cool as we approached the small ranch-style home that was issuing smoke from one of its windows although my heart was hammering in my chest at the time.

I again however showed my greenness when I got a little too close to the fire and nearly singed my eyebrows off. Flutter would have been really thrilled about that I'm sure.

The next time went a little more smoothly and I even helped two family members escape from their home before putting out the flames.

To wrap up my day, I was roped into working on the fire engine alone while everyone else sat in front of the TV and watched old reruns of "Oh My Berry" and "Cornucopia Island".

I just had to remind myself that one day I would no longer be the rookie and I would be joining the rest of the crew in pulling one over on the new guy.

A few days into my work week, I had been working on improving my handiness by trying to invent a gadget to make repairs around the firestation easier when Flutter called and asked if she could meet me for lunch.

I told her that would be great and Chief Charmmaine agreed that it would be okay to show her around and to allow her to come on a ride along with us if we were needed.

Flutter being Flutter of course was thrilled about what the chief had said and was even more excited when Chief Charmmaine let her borrow a fireman suit.

Firewoman Flutter...lol The one condition that the chief had was that Flutter show her stuff on the Trampoline.

My wife was of course even more excited about this and I was proud of her when she didn't even fall off a single time. It was long before the work week was over and I was able to enjoy some time with my bride.

Well I'm sure Flutter will be taking over next week. She's close to being at the top of the PI career and then she's already talking about taking on paranormal research and becoming a Ghostbuster or Poltergist chaser or something of the sort.

Flutter Berry and Amibtions 2

Hey it's me Flutter back again. I'm really enjoying this new town even if it is a little on the creepier side.

So the next day I had to go do some errands around town. I took some pictures as I went and this is the view from the taxi as I headed from my house into town, across the Twinbrook bridge.

I had to stop by Teal's Grocery and Babbling Book's first. Luckily they're right next to one another.

Next I had to head towards the west side of town to do some laundry, especially if Darkate was coming home. I wanted to have some cute clothes and the bedsheets clean. Clean laundry makes us sims happy don'tcha know?

It just so happens that while I was doing laundry I ran into the only friend I had really made in the short time that I had been here. Apparently Lolli's LaundryMat is the place to be.

I was busy telling Pavinna all about the new Super Berry movie I had just seen when I got a call from a strange sounding character looking for a private detective to find his missing flamingo.

I laughed so hard I could barely tell Pavinna what had happened and she stood there looking at me stumped.

As soon as the laundry was finished, I had gathered my things to go home when Pavinna called me back over to her dryer.

Apparently she had forgotten to pull a cookbook out of her apron and had washed it, turning all of her laundry pink and covered in pieced of paper. I promised her that we would go out later that week and see if we could find her a new (or used) cookbook and some clothes. She cheered up a bit at that and I don't think it hurt that the cute marine behind me was giving her the eye.

By the time I got home that afternoon, I was so beat that I didn't even notice there was someone else in the house. O_O

I went to take a shower and when I came out....

My long lost hubby was sitting on the sofa with a smug and amused look on his face. He was dressed like Crocodile Dundee or Indian Jones--one of those adventuring types.

"What if I had been a robber or a murderer? You totally did not even notice I was here!"

I couldn't even say anything I just ran over to hug him.

I've missed you so much babe, but....well....you stink like arid sand and shawarma.

"I'll change" *changes quickly*

"Better?" 

Much! Hey, now that you are home, can we find a better house.....or better yet, build one?

"You got it punkin'!"

"Honey, my friend found this cute little house that would be great as a starter home for us, it even has a separate entrance where we can but your special glazed glass detective door....what do you think?"

I love it, I think it's perfect. I especially love the little fenced in garden area!

A few hours and several furniture stores later and....

We were enjoying our new home!

So honey, you know, I've been thinking and I think you should get a job as either a teacher or a fireman.

"I already have"

Which one?

"You'll have to wait and see in the morning when the carpool pics me up!"

The next morning I got up extra earlier to cook breakfast for the both of us but I was running late.

Pancakes or waffles I yelled through the bathroom door.

"Neither! Don't worry about it, I'll get something at work" I could hear the shower running so I abandoned breakfast for the moment curiosity getting the better of me as I kept peeking out the window to see if a car had arrived for my husband yet.

No sooner than I heard a car horn beep, than i was been wrapped up in a hug by my husband.

He gave me a flirty grin and said, "Hey baby, I'm a firefighter"

Apparently this is a new pickup line only available to firefighters. I laughed and kissed him as he ran to get into the truck.

I'm really busy getting caught up on paperwork so I'll let Darkate take it from here to tell you about his first day as a firefighter.

Curiousity Killed the Cat But Satisfaction Brought Him Back

I waited for a good part of the day and didn't really see a lot of posts containing new info about Ambitions. So....I couldn't wait. My hubby and I had to go to Wally World to get Sting-Eze and Wasp Spray (take guess at what had happened earlier) so I casually mentioned that we stroll over to the electronics section and there it was. Curiosity bit me like a cat getting a bath so I had to buy it. Actually my sweet hubby bought it for me, just because (probably so I would forfeit the TV so he could play Xbox). Needless to say after much praying and finger crossing I loaded it along with the newest patch (it wouldn't let me otherwise) and so far so good--well awesome, pretty awesome (not including the fact that it works without prodding like WA). I decided I might as well share some of the experience with those of you and what better way to do that than with..........My Berry Simself!

Forgive the drama, Flutter Berry has one of the new traits...dramatic.

Anyway, as I was saying, what better way to explore Ambitions than with a little PI work with my Berry simself! (And yes I realize I'm in the medical field in real life so by not being a doctor on here first I'm being a bit of a traitor but I'm really eager to be "Monk" or "CSI" right now so relax, I'll get there) So anyway, let me turn this over to Flutter.

So after applying for the job and getting it (duh! One of my traits is perceptive) I received a phone call from a lady at the Hair Salon/Tattoo parlor. The police department insisted I wear this awful trench coat getup.
The lady was busy fixing a little girl's hair so I talked to the Tattoo guy under the pretense of getting a cloud tattoo.


Meanwhile I was scoping out the rest of the shop.


Next I had to do a Stakeout...

Followed by inspecting someone's trash to see if they had kicked over the lady's gnome...

Followed by some more stalking...I mean stakeouts.

" Shhhh....I'm investigatin' "

So finally I caught the guy, confronted him and reprimanded him.

"Do not, I repeat, do not kick over that old ladies gnome anymore or I will show you my mean face!"

Finally after all of that trouble I gained from experience, level 2, an award from city hall, and some money!

"Yay! Monies"

After all that I passed through town on my way home and decided to snap a pic so that I can send it to my hubby who is MIA in the game atm.

"Dear Darkate, this is the center of Twinbrook, missing you but
hope you are having fun in Egypt --Flutter"

The next morning, my phone rang. "Hello honey I see you got my email, how's Egypt?" "Uh-huh, that's nice sweetie, let me switch to bluetooth so I can do some chores."
"When are you going to quit playing Indian Jones and come home?"

"Uh-huh, yup I know that's not a nice way to ask but, well you see...I'm in this new town Twinbrook and well I kinda just don't think I'm going to be able to do all the jobs and professions by myself."

"Your coming home in a couple of days? Yay!!!"

"Okay, see you soon! Love you, too! Bye"

Well I'm getting tired and I've got finish writing this stakeout report to turn in for more experience points but I'll leave you all with this bloggers...
*Old timey music playing in the back ground* "Somewhere over the rainbow...."*record scratches*
"Wait a minute....we don't have rain or any weather for that matter. In Twinbrook its just kind of overcast/partly cloudy all the time. Oh well who cares, Its awesome so far!"

I only got to play for a short time tonight but tomorrow I will take pictures of tats and new hair-doos as well as objects. There seem to be quite a few of those.
