Long time no see.

So I know I've been gone a long time. I've kind of been EXTREMELY busy between baby and grad school and have had to leave Simming and sim stories behind. I'm now hanging out  here if you are interested. No sims or sim stories...just real life.

Miss you guys out there and hope you are doing well!

Well, well, well...windows 7 ate my sims..sorta

I finally got the mods issue fixed on the game but now all of my backed up saved games including the legacy one are saying error 15. I can't get Sugar Valley to work at all right now and have just moved Marg and family into "Twizzlerbrook" and it's the only way I can get them to work is by starting a new "clean" game. I can't even get their house to work in the game so...the storyline will be taking a dramatic change from where it was intended and I guess I will be taking some new pictures...when I get a chance to play.

I will say that this term does end in June so maybe in between I'll have some more time to play the game. Also maybe I can convince duh hubby to let me buys the new EP coming out. I'm kinda waiting to see if it's even worth it as I do with most of them (except late night).

So in the meantime, what is everyone up to?

Umm..help with simmies?

So to probably make it even more obvious that I haven't played in quite a while...Why the heck are my Fawkes skin tones not working and why are all of my Berry Sweet Sims black as night? Anyone know how to fix this? I did have to do a clean reinstall of the game due to my hubby's computer crashing (sucked major!) but I don't know if it was in a patch that I need to uninstall or what? Help!!!

I have not quite contrarily to popular belief, forsaken the blog completely. Life has been a whirlwind and I have not had much time on the computer other than school work. We are 5 full-time nurses short at work, I've been awfully sick until the past week from being preggers and I'm in the dead middle of a term in graduate school. As much as I'd rather be simming than working a bunch of overtime and feeling like poop but it just hasn't happened yet. :(

This pic is a month old now but this is our then bean. Now we have arms and legs and we can suck our finger and toes (yuck!) I will try to upload a pic of our new one later.

I'm so sick today. In fact had I not been forced by obligation to check my email for work and school I wouldn't even have gotten on here but I didn't want you all to think I had disappeared again. I also on the other hand hope to be able to share some happy news with you soon...if I can get well from this brutal...whatever it is.

Yay for me! I have been super productive. It's so funny how the ideas I have for the story change and evolve as I continue to play with this family... :)

Ok, so I don't usually do this but they should have thought about it before now

Real life rant, I'm a bit angry. So...my father bought my hubby a Razer mouse he wanted off of newegg for his birthday about a little more than 2 years ago. Usually we all love Razer stuff and newegg is where we buy most of our computer parts in general. However, my hubby's mouse started going ape-$hit and no matter what we do it double clicks with the left side no matter how lightly you touch it. When we bought the mouse it had a 3 year warranty (and we has the paperwork to prove it) from newegg.



Well apparently the reason they quit selling/making this mouse is that the double-click thing is a defect (we did some research). Now Razer is telling us that they only have a 2 year warranty and won't replace the mouse. I find this incredibly hard to fathom beings Newegg still has it listed on all of their Razer stuff that its a 3 year warranty and that this has never been a problem in over 2 years time. So hubby contacted Newegg and they were genuinely surprised and are going to contact Razer but I feel like they are giving us the run around. So we have a $70 mouse that isn't working anymore and am now using an el cheapo version from walmart that I've had for like 6-7 years. Yet Razer is supposed to make stuff "by gamers for gamers" and their mouse fell apart after 2 years. Go figure.

New Chapter and New RL Happenings

First off I'll start with the good news! A new chapter! YAY!!! Generation 3-Chapter 7

Secondly, I'd like to share some good RL news! I don't know if I had mentioned to any of you that I had applied for graduate school to get my Masters in Nursing (and my CFNP). Well I was accepted and I am to start very soon! Next month actually! This is also why I have been very busy and away a lot. I apologize because I do miss you guys! I also feel a bit out of touch which I don't think will be much better anytime soon....so if anything cool, unusual, fun starts going on feel free to email me!

I'll try to at least post some RL things even if I can't get much Simming time in. I also plan to try to stay caught up on stories although I'm behind now on Berry's Pastel, Burnt Sugar, Meringue and Roots. So don't be surprised to get some comments on some old posts! :)

As Promised...a new chapter! (and a fairly long one at that!)

I actually really like this chapter for some reason and I had a lot of fun writing it. I'm finding that for the first time since I've been writing the story that (probably because I haven't been able to play the game much at all) that the story is influencing the characters rather than the characters the story. So let me know what you think. I love comments even if they are critical.

To follow or not to follow....*hides head ashamed*

On a semi-real life problem. My old best friend who even though I don't get to see her much anymore I still pretty much consider a best friend, is preggers with twins! :) Yay! She and many other of my friends and colleagues are preggers too. You may remember me mentioning that my hubby and I have been trying to get preggers for quite a while now to not much avail and its bittersweet to be surrounded by all these pregnant women. Anyway, she has a very cute blog here on blogger (it's private because she's that way) and I'm following it anonymously but she did invite me on there and I'd like to follow it publicly so that she's not thinking I'm ignoring her but my blogger account and email is of course connected to this blog and all of the other simming-related things I follow so I'm reluctant and a bit embarrassed.....*hangs head, shamed of being embarrassed too* No one around me knows about my simming, much less my stories and such other than my husband (and he makes fun of me about it and shakes his head)....so I'm not really sure what to do. It's a dirty little secret. I can't really create a new google account because my e-mail has been my e-mail for years and years. I'm sure she'd look on my profile if I did follow it publicly because she's bored and on strict bedrest...But I'm also not willing to give up my blog and story and what little bit of time I get to spend on it I enjoy. Of course with Cataclysm out my husband has usurped our main PC that has sims on it and I haven't been able to sim anyway. Anyway....I'll figure something out I guess. Suggestions welcome.

Sorry to have been gone for so long but I've not been feeling well and work is trying to kill me. So have not had much time to play or upload photos. However I have a new chapter for you, and am working on uploading pics right now. I don't think I'll be able to put out another chapter today because I have to work tonight and tomorrow night but I'll aim for this weekend. I'll also try to get caught up on everyone else's blog sometime then too.
